Brian Roche
Chief Executive Officer
Brian Roche is the Chief Executive Officer of Veracode and a recognized expert in Application Security Engineering, Cloud Native Technologies, Cloud Operations and AI.
An award-winning cybersecurity leader and a pioneer of the early DevOps movement, Brian is also a passionate public speaker on AI, Application Security, DevOps, and digital transformation. With over 25 years of leadership, he has a proven track record of helping global enterprises transform their people, technology, and strategic advantage to compete and succeed in the digital economy. Over the course of his career, Brian has led multi-million dollar software and services businesses, in various leadership roles at EMC, Cognizant, and most recently at Medidata. Brian has been a member of the Cloud Foundry Board acting as a strategic technology advisor.
An avid athlete, musician and writer, Brian enjoys channeling his creativity while also supporting youth soccer.
Chris Wysopal
Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Chris Wysopal is Chief Technology Officer at Veracode. He oversees technology strategy and information security. Prior to co-founding Veracode in 2006, Chris was vice president of research and development at security consultancy @stake, which was acquired by Symantec.
In the 1990’s, Chris was one of the original vulnerability researchers at The L0pht, a hacker think tank, where he was one of the first to publicize the risks of insecure software. He has testified to the US Congress on the subjects of government security and how vulnerabilities are discovered in software.
Chris received a BS in computer and systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is the author of The Art of Software Security Testing.
Chris is often called upon to download the latest Minecraft mods for his 6-year-old son. An avid photographer and nature-lover, Chris spends his free time hiking the many conservation trails near his home outside Boston.
Alison Bayiates
Chief People Officer
Alison Bayiates is the Chief People Officer of Veracode. With more than 20 years’ experience leading HR teams in high-growth technology companies, Alison is focused on developing people strategies that enable employees to perform at their best. Her passion is nurturing company culture, while aligning operational goals with strategic company objectives. Alison has been with Veracode for five years, most recently leading the Talent Management team comprised of talent acquisition and learning & development. She has deep experience in business partnering, total rewards, talent acquisition, learning and development, and employee engagement. Prior to Veracode, Alison was a partner in a small real estate development business, and also worked at RSA Security for 10 years, where she led business partner and recruitment functions before taking on leadership of all of Human Resources for RSA Security when the organization was acquired by EMC.
Andre Cuenin
Chief Revenue Officer
Andre Cuenin is our Chief Revenue Officer. He leads Veracode’s sales strategy, driving growth in both the US and international markets through an integrated go-to-market approach. With over two decades in various leadership roles, spanning different continents and company sizes, Andre brings a wealth of relevant experience to Veracode. His background includes several distinguished operations and revenue-leadership roles. Most recently Andre was the CRO at Rapid7 where he led the sales team through significant growth, transforming the focus from a product to a platform sales motion. Prior to that, he was the CRO for Cherwell Software, an IT Service management company, where he led the sales team through a period of significant growth and transition to a subscription business. Andre is passionate about aligning go-to-market efforts with the goal of optimizing impact and maximizing value to customers. His business acumen combined with his technical background has helped him simplify complexities and drive effective sales strategies.
Peter Ellis
Chief Strategy Officer
Peter Ellis is Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Peter leads strategic responsibilities with respect to corporate planning, business strategy and intelligence, M&A, and identifying opportunities for continued product portfolio expansion and market growth. He has more than 15 years’ experience in various corporate development roles at companies such as Monotype and Advantage Solutions. Peter holds a BA in International Business and Marketing from Grand Valley State University and holds an MBA in Global Business Management from Temple University.
David Forlizzi
Chief Financial Officer
David Forlizzi is Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for overseeing Veracode’s global financial, IT business process and corporate development functions. Forlizzi has extensive experience leading financial strategy in both private and publicly traded companies along with expertise in helping high-growth software companies pursue their market strategy globally. A Certified Public Accountant, Forlizzi was previously the Chief Financial Officer at Infovista, a global software and services company, for 11 years, where he led the finance, legal and IT departments. He has also held accounting and leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston and Europe, advising technology companies on their financial, growth and business strategies. Mr. Forlizzi graduated from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy.
Alexandra Gobbi
Chief Marketing Officer
Alexandra (Alex) is Chief Marketing Officer at Veracode. She has over 20 years of global go-to-market experience that spans category creation, brand repositioning, demand generation, market intelligence, and business development for technology, cybersecurity, and professional services organizations. Alex previously served as CMO for data security and Insider Risk Management leader Code42, MSSP and XDR player Secureworks and for internet-become network solutions provider EarthLink. Alex started her career in advertising at BBDO, followed by management consulting at A.T. Kearney. She loves building high performance teams that drive growth through collaboration and focus.
Dawn Rogers
Chief Legal Officer
Dawn Rogers is Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. She leads Veracode’s legal function and in her role as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, Rogers supports Veracode’s commercial efforts as the company expands its business in North America and internationally and provides oversight and support on matters related to corporate governance, compliance and intellectual property management. In addition to bringing more than 15 years of experience in legal roles, Rogers is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a CIPP/E and a CIPM, and will guide Veracode on its compliance efforts. Rogers joined Veracode from Monotype, a font technology and design asset company, where she was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Americas and Asia Pacific. Prior to Monotype, she held legal counsel roles at Autodesk and Moldflow Corporation. Rogers earned her B.S from Emerson College and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.

Chris Eng
Chief Research Officer
Chris Eng is Chief Research Officer at Veracode. A founding member of the Veracode team, he is responsible for all research initiatives including applied research and product security, as well as advising on product strategy and M&A. Chris is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and serves on the review board for Black Hat USA. He is also a charter member of MITRE's CWE/CAPEC Board. Bloomberg, Fox Business, CBS, and other prominent media outlets have featured Chris in their coverage. Previously, Chris was technical director at Symantec (formerly @stake) and an engineer at the National Security Agency. Chris holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California.
Chris Peterson
Vice President, Global Channels & Alliances
Chris Peterson is our Channel Chief. He leads Veracode’s channel partner sales and marketing strategy. A recognized Channel Ecosystem expert, he and his team deliver growth via performance-based and metric-driven channel programs. A strategist who influences and affects innovative changes while delivering broad & deep relationships and industry knowledge. Chris has been in cyber security for over 25 years and has designed, built, and executed the multi-channel Go-To-Market program at multiple organizations including Tenable, Inc. (Nasdaq TENB), SourceFire (Nasdaq: FIRE), ArcSight (Nasdaq: ARST) and McAfee (Nasdaq MCFE).
Sohail Iqbal
Chief Information Security Officer
Sohail Iqbal is a distinctive cybersecurity leader and practitioner. Sohail has led to successful security practices and developed effective security programs. He has been instrumental in developing and maturing security practices as Head of Cybersecurity Operations at Dow Jones / WSJ, CISO at J2 Global, and recently Head of Information Security at CarGurus. He also served as Director for MediaISSF (Media Industry Security Sharing Forum), a CISO-led board to share common cybersecurity challenges faced by Media Industry. He has also served on the Cybersecurity Advisory Council for Rutgers University, NJ. Sohail is an active member of many security conferences and seminars, and contributes frequently to the cybersecurity community. Sohail is also an avid cricketer and has been playing for the Cricket League of NJ for the past 20 years.
Scott Simpson
VP, Global Solutions Architecture
Scott Simpson is a Vice President of Global Solutions Architecture at Veracode. Scott has been an information and application security practitioner for over 20 years. Since 2013, Scott has been a member of the Veracode Solution Architecture team responsible for helping customers and prospects select the best appsec solutions to meet their development needs.
Currently, Scott leads a team of application security subject matter experts who engage with prospects and customers to build world class application security programs so their developers can build secure software, faster. More and more this means providing thought leadership to organizations undergoing development and cloud transformation. His team’s experience in this area puts us in a unique position to develop solutions that address the challenges these organizations face, and we welcome the opportunity to provide leadership.
Prior to Veracode, Scott lead information and application security consulting services and technical sales teams at KPMG, Solutionary/NTT, and Qualys. Scott holds a B.S. in Business Education from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
John Smith
Chief Technology Officer, EMEA
John Smith is the Chief Technology Officer in EMEA. John has worked in Information Security for more than 20 years, and in Application Security specifically since 2004. He helped drive the evolution of AppSec, from ad-hoc testing using a range of technologies such as Dynamic Analysis through to the comprehensive and programmatic approaches seen in mature organizations today, where integrated and automated testing is supported by strong policy and governance. At Veracode, John leads the solution architecture team in EMEA and is responsible for helping customers and prospects understand the ways we can help them be more effective and efficient in identifying and reducing their software security risks. Prior to joining Veracode in 2012, John was a Senior Solution Architect at IBM.
Richard Terry
VP, EMEA
Richard Terry leads Veracode’s EMEA field sales organization. With more than 25 years of experience working across sales, operations, strategy and alliance roles, his focus has been on building high-performing teams directed squarely at the success of customers. Prior to joining Veracode, Richard led the EMEA North region for Compuware and transformed their go-to-market strategy to one centred on helping organizations shift towards adopting DevOps practices through a consultative, thought-leading approach. Before re-joining Compuware, he was Deputy CEO at Sogeti UK, part of the Capgemini Group, and, in his first stint at Compuware, held a variety of leadership roles across both the software and services parts of the business.
